Hey guys! It’s your girl Jules from @Julesssss___ on Instagram. I have the perfect smoothie bowl recipe for the holidays. It would pair well with those peppermint mocha’s that I know we all have our eyes on this season. This smoothie bowl is a great sweet treat or morning refresher that you can whip up in a matter of minutes. You can use a lot of kitchen staples that you may already have in your home.
The Ingredients are:
-2 ripe bananas
-half a small bag of “Simple Truth” organic frozen cherries – ¼ cup of almond milk
-organic unsweetened coconut shreds
-organic black chia seeds
-organic un-refined coconut sugar
-2 small candy canes (crushed)
-1 tablespoon of simple truth organic peanut butter (Optional)
For the base, start out by placing the two small bananas in the bottom of a blender, then add in the frozen cherries. Top the blender with a ¼ cup of almond milk. Blend until smooth. (Adding the non-frozen fruit first will help to blend things smoothly)
Next, top with coconut shreds, chia seeds, un-refined coconut sugar, crush candy canes, and peanut butter!
*The less liquid you add, the thicker your smoothie bowl will be
*You can add frozen bananas instead to make your smoothie thicker
*Spotty (ripe) bananas are better. The more spots they have, the sweeter your smoothie will taste
*Add in some GREENS to kick up the health benefits(totally optional)
